Dear Hopkinson Families,

Welcome to another amazing school year!

Allow me to introduce myself - I am Kristen Moore, and I am honored to serve as this year’s Hopkinson PTA president. I have a 4th grader and a 2nd grader, and we’ve had an amazing school experience here - filled with supportive teachers and staff, a wonderful community of families, and countless memories.

If you are interested in getting involved with PTA, please let me know! There are so many volunteer opportunities for all types of skills, interests, and time constraints. There are opportunities that can be done at home, as well as on campus interacting with our huskies. As a team, Hopkinson PTA works to provide services and events for all of our 600+ huskies, as well as family events to strengthen our community bonds. Personally, I have loved volunteering at Hopkinson and getting to know other families through PTA. It’s so heartwarming to meet other like-minded people who want nothing but the best for our kids, and are happy to give their time and talents to make this happen!

One of the best perks of being a Hopkinson PTA member is that you can subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Paw Print. This newsletter is a great way to know what’s happening on campus, complete with a weekly update from Mr. Farvour. If you want to be in the know about all things huskies, read the Paw Print! Another pro-tip - create a log-in for our PTA website. Here you can become a member of our PTA, subscribe to our calendar and Paw Print newsletter. This is also the site you’ll need to visit when you want to purchase items like emergency kits, yearbooks, and spirit gear, or tickets to our fun-filled family events, like Carnival and Huskies in the Wild (our end-of-the-year campout).

I truly believe there is no better way for families to feel connected to our school community than to volunteer and participate in PTA. Please consider joining PTA and taking part in our amazing organization that has one main goal - to support our huskies!

Looking forward to another great year at Hopkinson,

Kristen Moore
